Signal Systems has been developing active control technology for smart materials. This research is part of the Lockheed Martin Smart Sleeve Demonstration (S2D) program. The demonstration project is sponsored by the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA) and managed by the Office of Naval Research.
Progress
We have developed a new MATLAB™ based Active Noise Control Simulation
Toolbox for use in smart materials design. The simulation offers finite
element modeling interfaces, sensor, filter and hardware models, and

Active Noise Control CAD Tool that integrates with Mechanical Finite Element Packages
Signal Systems has developed a state-of-art active noise control system that offers real-time processing at very high sampling rates. These high sample rate controllers offer better noise rejection and cover a wider frequency band than any other available active control system.
